The Amsterdam Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS) is a student-led journal affiliated with the University of Amsterdam. We aim to provide an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary debates in Social Science. Our mission is to ensure a platform for students to publish their work, exchange ideas, and be part of an academic community. In ensuring these different functions, the AJSS consists of different teams that work together.
Would you like to organize events and build a community for a student-led academic journal? AJSS is looking for community builders! As an academic journal led by students, AJSS aims to allow students to get familiar with the diverse processes that take place in a journal. Besides offering experience in the academic process of publishing, the AJSS also wants to create an environment in which students from different disciplines work together and exchange ideas and experiences.
As a community builder for the AJSS, you play a pivotal role in engaging with our diverse community of students, academics, and professionals to strengthen the community, impact, and outreach of the AJSS. In doing so, the team of community builders develops a strategy to enhance the visibility and stability of the AJSS at the University of Amsterdam and beyond. You will organize events, and workshops, while also seeking out external opportunities to enhance the journal's progression.
